Earlier this week, UVS Games announced Star Trek: Lower Decks will be coming to Universus in 4 different Challenger Series decks. Honestly, I’d never heard of Lower Decks before and I’m not much of a Treky. I hope I spelled that right. So, I did a little research.

Star Trek: Lower Decks is one of the most highly rated shows I’ve seen and has just made it to my Watch List on my Paramount+ account. It seems like Star Trek meets Rick and Morty, as it looks to bridge the gap between old school Trek fans and the younger generation. I’m sure UVS wouldn’t mind a few younger players as well.

The move to bring on Lower Decks seems pretty smart… No… Pretty calculated. As Star Trek fans don’t really have a competitive TCG to play, and Lower Decks seems to just be hitting its stride in popularity, adding this IP could pay dividends for years to come.
