The Critical Role Challenger Series is 3 weeks away and today we got a ton of news. First things first, the reveals! Starting off, if you haven’t been in the Discord you might have missed the cards they’ve shown off over the last couple months.

Returning in this Challenger Series is the Collector’s Booster Pack that will redesign each of the cards in the deck, giving players something to chase. Honestly, I’m geeked for the art in these decks. i still haven’t decided the best way to hunt these cards. At $35 per deck, buying more than 2x decks each is quite expensive. I’ll have to see if any players are willing to part with their collector’s packs before they’re all cracked open.

Next up we have a smattering of reveals of the cards in the set. These really hit the mark for thematic fun, while still offering some serious punch with the Echo keyword and a number of high damage numebrs.

I was a huge fan of the first Challenger Series and the way the gameplay of Vash felt straight out of the box, specifically. I think these decks are definitely living up to their price tag and are a great avenue for experienced players to jump into the game with less time spent catching up to the meta.
