Yu Yu Hakusho is mere weeks away, and we’ve been dying to get hands-on images of the most valuable cards in the set. This past weekend at the HLC, we got our chance.

I spent a while with the Chrome Rares, changing the lighting and angles for each card. These Chromes are much more polished than their predecessors. The Chrome rays in the background and in the characters accents really stop you in your tracks. They gleam different colors depending on the room really giving more of a dynamic, premium, cleaner feeling. I’ve tried my best to capture what I mean in these photos, like with the red light from my camera giving Kuwabara the tint of a red sunset. I hope you enjoy.

Thanks to Leenoco, UVS Games, Zoe and her amazing art team, and everyone else that made this possible. Now I also had the chance to look at the XSRs. Putting the text incorporated in the background really makes it feel like a design decision instead of a copy-paste job. Just bein honest lol. Yea, these look awesome. The way Spirit Sword Ultimate’s foiling changes colors is pretty nuts! You won’t be able to really see how dynamic these cards look until you hold them and swivel them around. This is definitely a step forward. I’ve been asking for more from the foil treatments for over a year now, and these ate starting to deliver. I’d like to see something a bit shinier on the actual character itself in the forground, but as it stands I’m SUPER excited to get my hands on these!
