The Dark Tournament is fast approaching and most of the cards are known at this point, sk that can only mean 1 thing… Secret Rares! UVS Games took the HLC as a fine opportunity to debut the newest SRs to the world…

The first notable difference with these SRs I’d the art team is leaning even heavier into their “frame break” art style, with the each fighter bleeding over the border and touching the edge of the cards. They did this with JetBurn, but it’s much more pronounced here in The Dark Tournament.

Analysis and grades on the cards will come soon, but at first glance the power level seems to have crept up a step from last set. 3 of the attacks are win conditions without any added boosts and several of them rip cards from your rival’s hand and/or negate an attack. If this is the direction for SRs going forward, expect their play rates to increase as well as their value.
