Deidoro Sakaki REVEALED!

Thank you so much to the team at Jasco Games for selecting me to reveal one of the 8 Bullets of the Shie Hassaikai, Deidoro Sakaki!

Deidoro is crazy in so many ways. The first and most common use of his R comes as early as first turn. If you go second, just tell ur opponent, “Need to check a 5? Yea, do that twice for me.” Jiro stacked an attack and a 6 check on top? Actually, u didn’t stack the 6.

Giving any two attacks +2 or -2 speed for free is wild and this is gonna be sick territory if he can find a package that allows him to wall up, contain opponents that can use momentum at will, and hit the big attacks that he has access to on each of his symbols.

I can’t go much further without talking about the star of the show. Inverted Knife Throw is an absolute dream card to put into a toolbox for the Order symbol. Whether you’re stuffing momentum in your Fourth Kind deck to make Recipro Burst or Tape Swing lethal, or if you’re making a fun OTK build with Delaware Detroit Smash.

Of course, the main point of this card is to support the Shie Hassaikai members that thrive on playing attacks from anywhere but the hand. This offers yet another option. Just note that this card does NOT say, “If this card is added to momentum, add it face-up. So, if this card hits for damage, it’ll be added face-down.

I think there will end up being several builds for how to run this yakuza clan’s support kit with different characters at the helm. Overhaul is the popular decision right now, but I can easily see Sakaki making noise on a large stage AND at an LGS near you. Just beware of Home Run Comets

My last thought on these cards is the power level of Set 5 continues to show the direction of Universus. We’re no longer in Set 2 mode where we just hope for cards that can bolster our decks. We’re looking to new sets at format disruptors and several archetypes in Undaunted Raid are just that. Midoriya IV will be awesome to break down and that’ll be coming soon, as well as the rest of the members of Set 5. Thanks for reading, and until next time I’ll see you on the tables.
